When I reply by netmail to that message with the point number, GoldEd automatically uses the point address as the destination. So since the header of a packed message doesn't have room for the point number part of the FTN address, it seems the address from the MSGID is used for this. So it doesn't seem like a good idea to add a random point number to the MSGID, unless it really exists in the nodes system configuration, or it is ignored by the systems software...
