there is not... in fact, the spec says that messages passing through a system
are not to be modified i nany way other than adding seenby and path entries...
it is possible that rescanned messages may be otherwise modified since they
come from the rescanned system's message base and the messages may have been
reformatted for that message storage format but normal processing and passing
on of messages should not do that...
