-=> Quoting Carol Shenkenberger to Nancy Backus on 14-Feb-2019 21:55 <=- NB>> I heard 2 feet... MK>>> As far as the Island goes, Ladysmith got the most (40cm), and we're MK>>> expecting another dump today forecasted to be 10-15cm. NB>>> That's pretty impressive.... CS> Here is wierd. It's cold enough for snow 3 months of the year but CS> normally dry then. Now it's wet but just over warm levels. CS> Had it been the normal cold, we'd have had a collective of near 2ft CS> snow by now (granted not on the ground as much would have melted off CS> between events). So the good news is that it's been a bit warmer, I guess... Unless you were hoping for snow.... <G> We keep getting warmer weather that leaves puddles in the driveway, followed by really cold that freezes that solid.... One morning, we had to break the car tires out of the ice that had encased them, before we could go anywhere.... This week, when we got new puddles, I parked my car at the other end of the driveway (the street end) since the forecast was for yet another freeze... it worked... <G> Now we just got another 4 inches or so more snow, but at least not the promised sleet and freezing rain that was supposed to accompany it.... Underneath the snow is all that ice from before.... ttyl neb ... He's as flaky as a snowstorm. --- EzyBlueWave V3.00 01FB001F * Origin: Tiny's BBS - http://www.tinysbbs.com (1:229/452) |
