Here's a recipe from a February 1948 Ad for White House Evaporated Milk http://www.tias.com/white-house-evaporated-mi... feb48-567734.html [wraps] Lemon Puff Pie 4 tablespoons corn starch 1 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt Juice of 3 lemons 3/4 cup boiling water 3/4 cup White House Milk [evaporated milk] 1 tablespoon margarine, melted 3 eggs, separated [recipe doesn't include this, but the whites must be beaten] 1 unbaked 9-in pie crust Mix together corn starch, sugar, salk and lemon juice. Add boiling water and milk. Stir thoroughly and add margarine and beaten egg yolks. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour into unbaked pie crust. Bake in moderate over, 400 degrees F., for about 35 minutes or until firm in center.
