Micronet is gated to QWK through a few Synchronet systems and a WINServer system. ml> database back in the '90s... then operators could look there as well as ml> ZCs being able to look and find unused zone numbers... but since zone ml> numbers were duplicated, that carried FTN to the next stage of ml> addressing, 5D, where an eight character domain is added to the ml> address... that helps to eliminate zone collisions... well, kinda As the moderator of this echo, I should probably do something like that... Sounds like a project. I am a little unsettled right now with other projects but maybe in a few months I can tackle something like that. Fun fact: Micronet's zone number is the area code for Southern Illinois where I was living at the time I started Micronet.
