============================================================================= * Forwarded by Al Kaiser (1:142/926) * Area : TREK * From : Al Kaiser, 1:142/926 (27-Dec-16 10:16:58) * To : All * Subj : Off To See Star Wars Again Today ============================================================================= Well I think that I'll go to the local cinima to see Star Wars Rogue One again today. Won't do the IMAX but the 20 screen cinimaplex has bargain day today so will go there for the 3D version. This time will go to concentrate more on content. First time I usually go for the entertainment and "wow" factor, now I'll start looking for story details. Best Buy has already set out the preorders for Rogue One and I've got to use up a $5.oo rewards certificate so I've got the 3 Disc 3D Blu-ray version on order, no release date confirmed yet. A little off subject of Movies, as I look at the new SUHD TV's coming out, one thing I don't see in the specs are 3D TVs. I hope that they are not going to drop the 3D feature from the new Super High Def TV's, because that will make about a half dozen 3D movies I own only visible in 2D. I asked at the store about this and they said that they've only seen 3D SUTVs in the large models but 40 inchs is about a large as I have room for here. Of course in a couple of years they will be talking 8K rather than 4K TVs. It was rumored that a few manufactures were going to skip the 4Ks and wait for the 8K technology to get prefected. Don't know how far this will go because the broadcasers just got done upgrading their transmitters for HD and you can't go too much further because you would be compressing the signal too much before transmission only to have to uncompress it at the receive end. -=> Al Kaiser n1api@cox.net <=- Byebye for now.
