On 26 Sep 17 09:42:00, Jimmy Anderson said the following to Nick Andre: JA> NA> I saw It too. Yes, it appears so far, the movie is true to the book in JA> NA> most aspects. We shall have to wait and see if Chapter 2 does the JA> NA> same.... JA> JA> I knew almost nothing of this production going in (I avoid spoilers on JA> things I care about) so I was shocked at the end when it said Chapter 1. JA> JA> It was a pleasant shock, but still there. I know 2 hours into the movie JA> I was wondering, "when are they going to show the adults?" :-) The thing I notice with some of King's work is that sometimes the stories easily split off into so many sub-stories or elaborate character backgrounds and when those stories get adapted into movies, a lot of that gets lost. Mostly either time constraints or budget reasons. I knew with a running time of 2 and a half hours that there was NO way the new It movie was going to cover everything in that thousand-page novel.
