i can always tell when you are down because your automated postings do not show
 up for a few days and then suddenly there's 2 or 3 or more posted into each
echo... i'm assuming that that is because your system is running the events but
 not sending the mail at that time... then you do whatever and get your
connection working again and so all of them come out... if your machine is
down, then i would expect some days to be skipped but i haven't paid that much
attention to the posting dates...
