  I went back and checked and sure enough it did.  Don't know if something
I did or what.
  I'll be more careful with shorter paragraphs from henceforth.  
  The original ended a sentence or so late, with "traffic detoured to the
old road for miles" or some such.  
  Nothing so important that it would be remembered 100 years from now, or
even a few minutes from now.
