Joe, JM> Most places will have the road one wants sign just past the fork. Some JM>states one can drive for miles without any signs at all and go far afield JM>then have to find some connecting road or back track. It's more like a spoon with a hole in it, to make up for all the potholes. JM> Since I try to stay off the interstates AMAP, finding a good state map JM>is tough. Sometimes a motel near the state line will offer them. Most JM>states have welcome centres with free maps, all but one were only located JM>on the interstates. One place I stopped sold real paper maps and paid JM>for one only to find where I was going (a few miles away) had them for JM>free. AAA has an office in west Little Rock, but I haven't used maps in a long time. The train trip I take this fall has someone else doing the driving, and my route to and from Clinton, Arkansas (Hillary is nowhere in the mix..as she's a detour <EG>, is rather simple.
