The old-fashioned fold-em-up paper maps don't fly around the car or out
the window...    And can be folded carefully to be open to the place
where your trip is happening....

For specific directions at the end of a day's leg of the trip, I might
have that written out separately, especially for a new area...

True in most cases... often criss-crossing underneath/over the
interstate.... but sometimes parts do get lost....

I guess you waited too long to check them out... prices just keep going
up....   If it's something you've /really/ wanted to see, though, it
might be worth the entrance fee....   There might be senior citizen
discounts for some of them, too...
