  I'm not printing Google and Mapquest maps.  Too much paperwork flying
around in the car, out the window, etc.  
  One thing I do is have a separate sheet of paper with something like
"Rt X to Y, then whichever direction to Z" etc.
  I will also back track a route from one town to another if that route
disappears on the printed map.  I also will think "Well, it has to be
there somewhere" since the interstates will usually parallel the old road
for the most part.
   I had to work (uh, warm a chair) Monday and Tuesday and used my tablet
to zoom in for points of interest and checking their websites.  Sheesh,
every place wants money to get in.  Its $20 here, $40 there...  I may
just drive by those places and look in passing.
