Nancy,

NB> DS> good sandwich snack. Just put it between 2 pieces of bread, add
NB> DS> mustard, bacon bits, etc., and it's lunch time.

NB>OK...

I had bought a bunch of Funions onion ring snacks, and just scarfed a
good bit of them down.

NB>True. Our mechanics would have let us take the car home in a similar
NB>situation.... as they say, they know where we live, so they trust us to
NB>come up with the money in good time... meanwhile, they don't have to
NB>store the vehicle.... :)

Unfortunately, not everyone is honest. I was 2 cents short paying for
a purchase at the Post Office today, and the clerk said (I hope
sarcastically) "I'll lock your Post Office Box until you give me my 2
cents". :P

NB>I understand that after a certain age, the reviews stretch to 8 years...
NB>and once you turn 65 or so (maybe just 62), the disability turns into
NB>regular retirement, and there aren't any more reviews...

Really?? I resigned from work in 2004, and applied for disability...it
was granted in 2006, retroactive. So, I had to do a "review" in 2009 and
2014...so by rights, there should be another one this year. All I'd have
to do is send in a 12 page medical list, and they'd see why I can't work
again.

NB>There are some things that do work against being able to serve as a
NB>juror... :)

One guy said he'd get out by saying "I can spot a guilty [insert
race/ethnic group here] halfway across a room"...but I would've said
"Only The Lord and the defendant know whether or not they're guilty. If
they are guilty, and are acquitted by a jury of their peers, they'll
fare much worse when they die. So, they might as well save us all the
time and trouble, and confess now". :P

NB>Hopefully you will be able to get that last chance... :)

  I sure hope so.

NB>And are probably less of a danger to the environment...

True. Next thing you know, they'll be declaring sidewalks as
hazardous. :P Well, they are, if you're enamored in your smartphone, and
not paying attention to where you're going. One woman was that way, and
walked into the side of a moving train. Another doing similar, tripped
and fell into a public fountain.

NB> DS> Tragically, Steve was killed by a sting from a stingray a few years
NB> DS> ago.

NB>Yes, I remember all that... :)

I still miss him. Everyone thought he'd get killed by a crocodile, and
not a stingray.

NB> DS> Steve finally went up to the camera, and said "Would you all just go
NB> DS> away??!!" <G>.

When one of the TV anchors was killed in a car wreck, the entire crew
was in tears. But, they noted "we have to show these bloopers", and it
made everyone smile.

NB>As you know, I'm not a fan of Windows... and am still happily using
NB>DOS... Richard uses mostly DOS, and has installed Linux on some of his
NB>machines which he uses second most.... Some of his machines do have
NB>Windows, partly because there are times when he has to check something
NB>out on multiple platforms... and partly because for some things one has
NB>to use something from Windows to do certain things on the web... I've
NB>learned that Windows10 can be useful for a few things... at least the
NB>machine he has with the Win10 is a touchscreen, which makes things a
NB>little less upsetting for me...

I still don't know if I want to bite the upgrade bullet.

NB> DS> ■ OLX 1.53 ■ The severity of the itch is proportional to the reach.

NB>Only because you can't reach it to subdue it... ;)

  That's why I have a portable backscratcher. <G>

NB>... A bird in the hand makes it hard to blow your nose.

Or get feathers shoved up your olfactory. :P

Daryl
