I thought you said that you DID get the shot... that sounds now like you
didn't... perhaps you'd left out a word...?

I sleep on my side also... the wedge still works for that... I have a
10" wedge... we have a waterbed, so the alternate suggestion of putting
the head of the bed up on blocks didn't work for us...   They run
about $40 at a medical supply place... it might be covered by insurance
with a prescription, but I never tried to do that....
 
My reflux tends to flare whenever I lie flat, especially if I've eaten
recently... It isn't helped much by the fact that the sphincter muscle
closing the stomach from the esophagus was totally eaten away by the
acid before this was properly diagnosed and I got the right medication
to heal things...

If I'm drinking tea, it's when I'm eating out, and it is freshly brewed,
whether green tea, Chinese tea, or some sort of special tea with added
milk and spices...
