It doesn't work for me anyway, so it's no good for me to have it...

Have you tried using a wedge so you aren't lying flat...?  That helps me
immensely.... with at least one pillow on top of that...

I just don't care much for the Pepsi products.... even before I started
to avoid sodas is general....

Yes, but the powder was originally black tea, before they processed it

Then it's not likely allergies... but the sinuses could still be part of
it, could be it's barometric pressure related....
