Hello All!

I run a system using echos and files from Fidonet as host 2:25 & 2:250

I also act as European host for Sportnet.

I have a few connections (downlinks) for Sportnet where the AKAs are assigned
as sportnet first and may be second (if they are also a country host) and the
firsd if pressent is for their Fidonet address but these are not used as they
do not get any files or fido echos (they might be connected to the region25
echo as all downlinks should be).

I have recently set up a new node with a fido address and at his request also
as a node in Sportnet.

I then linked him in to all echos and files from Sportnet.

So far so good.

In security flags I have
01 set as everyone
02 set as Sportnet
32 set as sysop only

There are others but they are for MIL users only.

Every downlink is set to 01
All Sportnet downlink have 02 set.

Again so far so good.

Well I issued an notify messege to the new node who's set up AKA wise is
01 fido addr
02 Sportnet addr

The results of issuing the notify to the sportnet address results in NO echos
or file area like wise there are NOT shown as being available (as well as
being
connected).

OK, I thought change it and remove the Sportnet connection as AKA like wise
all
echos anf file settings changed at Group delete connection.

Set up a new entry in the nodes area for his Sportnet only address, set
security at 02, added him in to all sportnet files and echo areas, issued a
notify to the psortnet address again with no files/echos showing any where.

I asked him to send a msg with a request for:
%HELP
%LIST
%QUERY

But again the lists are empty and here is resulting message from my system to
his:

I got the impression those are unresolved variables in the netmail? Is
that correct?

As you can see it is empty but worse the flags @G, @H, @J are also empty or
only showing the tags.

Any one know what is happening and why ?

Vince
