Hello Dane! 15 Mar 18 05:14, you wrote to Mark Lewis: DB> I've compiled 1.0.74 on a Slackware VM and was configuring it. A socket send error when trying to start any of the BBS programs usually means that the mbtask daemon is not running. su to root, and run /etc/rc.d/init.d/mbsed status. If you receive a message that mbtask is not running, start it by running (as root) /etc/rc.d/init.d/mbsed start. If mbtask is in fact already running, it sounds like you may have incorrect permissions on some/all of the BBS files.
