I'll try. Basically, it's a small board that plugs onto a Raspberry Pi (mine is a model B-2), that converts the Pi into a hotspot for D-STAR when the proper software is installed and operational. It's available in a UHF only version and a VHF/UHF version. Personally, I use DSTAR Commander, which has proven to be highly stable.
