If you have some other service on your machine listening on port 5000, then
you'll need to move
mrc-connector.js to some other port.  That would require adjustments in
ctrl/services.ini and in
xtrn/mrc/mrc-client.ini.

It should not matter if this port is open to the outside.  Connections to the
mrc-connector.js service
come from mrc-client.js on the local machine.

I did provide another lengthy reply earlier today.  Did you try any of what I
suggested there?
